This Privacy Policy explains how the String Art Gold mobile app (“the app”, “we”, “us”), published by Gangaa Tech, handles your information. We respect your privacy and keep the data we handle to the minimum needed to run the app. Please read this policy before using the app.
1. Information the app handles
The app is designed to work with as little personal data as possible. Here is exactly what happens:
- Photos you choose: When you pick a photo to turn into string art, the photo is processed on your own device. We do not upload your photo to our servers, and we do not store your photo. It never leaves your phone.
- String art data: To generate the winding sequence, the app sends only the computed design data (numbers that describe the pattern) to our server. This data is not a picture and cannot be used to recreate your photo.
- Country selection: When you first open the app, you choose your country. This is used to show the app correctly and for basic, anonymous usage statistics. It is not linked to your identity.
- Anonymous usage counts: We record simple anonymous events (for example, that a design was generated or a purchase was made) so we can understand overall usage. These records do not include your name, email, or photo.
2. Purchases
String Art Gold offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock the full winding sequence. All payments are processed securely by Google Play Billing. We do not see, collect, or store your card number, bank details, or other payment credentials — these are handled entirely by Google. We only receive confirmation from Google that a purchase was completed, so we can unlock your design.
3. Permissions the app uses
- Internet access: Needed to generate your string art design and to verify purchases with Google Play.
- Storage: Used only so you can select a photo from your device and, if you choose, save your generated design. The app only accesses the files you select.
4. Information we do NOT collect
- We do not collect your name, phone number, or email address through the app.
- We do not upload or store your photos.
- We do not track your precise location.
- We do not sell or rent any data to third parties.
- We do not show third-party advertising in the app.
5. Third-party services
The app uses Google Play services for app distribution and for processing in-app purchases. Google’s handling of data is governed by Google’s own Privacy Policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
6. Data retention
Because we do not store your photos or personal identity, there is no personal profile to retain. Anonymous usage counts and purchase confirmations are kept only for as long as needed to operate the app and meet legal and accounting requirements.
7. Children’s privacy
String Art Gold is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Your choices
